From spring until fall of 2024, Be My Eyes was working with Meta to get the app onto the then new AI glasses. From a design POV, this mostly entailed creating a nice and easy onboarding process and facilitating frictionless movement between the apps. However, as the sole designer from Be My Eyes working on the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses project, it was my responsibility to represent the interests of blind and low-vision users, and to communicate their needs to Meta’s designers and developers. Through my studies and professional experience, I have developed a deep focus on accessibility design and user involvement, and I leveraged these insights to shape the project for the benefit of blind and low-vision users.

At the time of writing, I am working as a freelance UI designer for Heart2Heart—a startup developing a physical device and an accompanying app designed to enhance safety in the nightlife scene. Heart2Heart wanted to refine their app’s interface, and given my extensive experience with app design from my previous role at Be My Eyes, I accepted the assignment.
